| The Rutherford/Polk Smart
Start Partnership is a non-profit organization recognized by the
Internal Revenue Service. A large percentage of funding received by
the Partnership comes from Smart Start state funds. However, the
Rutherford/Polk Partnership is presently receiving less than
sixty percent of its full funding and relies heavily on the support of
in-kind donations, grants and local gifts. All gifts, cash, and
'in-kind' donations are eligible to be matched 2 to 1 by the North
Carolina Partnership for Children. In-kind goods and services are
always in need.
The Rutherford/Polk Partnership will be
participating in the 2008 State Employees Combined Campaign!

partnership is an investment in the future!
As a non-profit organization recognized
by the Internal Revenue Service you can designate your United Way
contribution to the Rutherford/Polk Partnership.

Your
gift to the partnership may be either undesignated or you can
designate to the following areas:
Improvement
of Child Care Quality
Family
Support Initiatives
Health
initatives
Administration
OR
you may mention specific uses for your gift such as dental care,
literacy or other interests that you may have related to preschool
children and the work of the partnership.
Gifts
may also be given in honor or memory of a special person. An
acknowledgement of your gift will be mailed to whom ever you wish if
you simply note that with your gift.
